| Shelter Helpers is a not for profit organization that was created by Clara Duke to help the animals that are in local Animal shelters. We go out to the shelters and ask what their specific needs are, then we ask the community to help. We will come to you to pick up the items, or we have assorted drop off locations . These items will be sorted and delivered to the shelters by Shelter Helpers according to their needs. The items that are needed most are listed below. Money Blankets Dog Treats Cat Treats Small animal treats (ie. bunnies, ferrets, ducks, chickens etc.) Dog chews (consumable) Cat toys Cat litter Dog collars Dog leashes Dog food - Science Diet Cat Food Small animal food Cat toys Dog toys Homes (of course) Volunteers (come, play with the animals, feed the animals, or clean up after the animals, etc.) We know that not everybody can give their time, but that does not mean that you do not care about these homeless animals. | This is Jo Jo, we recently adopted her from our local Animal Shelter, what a sweet girl she is too! She is already such a part of our family and we have only had her a week. I can hardly believe that an animal as smart, beautiful, and friendly as her was in a shelter, but there she was, and now here she is.
