| Our Mascot |

| You may find it strange that a horse is a mascot for a miniature donkey farm, but if you knew Munchkin you would understand. He demands just that kind of attention, and on this farm he gets it. Munchkin is a Dwarf Miniature Horse, he measures 23 inches tall at the withers, and he runs this farm. That includes all the horses, big and small. All the donkeys, dogs, cats, mules, rabbits, and hamsters, not to mention, and probably especially, the Humans as well. He came to us quite by accident, we went to North Alabama to look at a pony, when we got there I saw Munchkin. The man said he was just a very small miniature horse, I knew right away he was a dwarf, but the man insisted he was right. I whispered to my husband to buy him. The problem was that he was not for sale. Well, to make a long story short, I left with him that day. He takes a lot of special care, but he is worth every bit of it. This horse thinks he is as big as Sierra, our 17 1/2 hand high horse. In this picture he is standing next to my 30" tall white miniature donkey. He is a sweet boy, that deserves all he gets and more, just ask him!!! |
